Actress and TV host Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla expressed her disappointment over people who are taking advantage of the current situation where Filipinos are gathering help for the victims of Typhoon Carina.
Scammers are using the fund drives as an opportunity to scam people. Scammers are pretending to do legitimate fund drives but proceeds goes to their own pockets.
On her Instagram Story, Mariel has this to say:
“Yung mga nang-iiscam using my name and now using @milesaubrey naman getting money from people. This message is for you, using donations and other people’s misfortune for your greed, laziness to work, and all other despicable aspects will be your first class ticket to hell.”
