Michele Gumabao on issues after Miss Universe PH 2020: “I was really so hurt after that”

Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Second runner-up Michele Gumabao opened up on what she felt regarding the issues after the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 competition.

In an interview with ABS-CBN show titled “Magandang Buhay” hosted by Karla Estrada, Jolina Magdanal and Melai Cantiveros, Jolina asked Michelle “paano ka naman sinubok ng mga issue na eto na lumabas lang pagkatapos nung pageant.”

To which Michelle answered “pinaka mahirap po kasi is kung yung issue totoo, tatanggapin ko, matututo ako at papakinggan ko. Pero po kasi kung yung mga issue walang katotohanan, talagang yung mga tao hindi ka naman nila kilala. Yun po yung pinaka mahirap tanggapin dahil hindi ko po kaya dipensahan sarili ko. Unang una, ang daming nag tatanong sakin, bakit daw dun sa nirelease kong statement sobrang vague. Wala daw akong sinabe or pinatamaan. Sabe ko ‘wala naman po ako rito para magkaruon ng kalaban or bastusin kahit sino or magsabe ng masama tungkol mga ibang tao.’ Ang gusto ko lang po is i-explain yung side ko and ginawa ko naman yun. Sabe ko nagpaalam ako before I left. I was there but I left early.”

Michelle added “yung mga kumakalat sa social media, I’m just thankful na andiyan yung family ko na sila talaga yung nag alaga saakin after the pageant. Dahil I really admit, talagang momshies I was really so hurt after that.”
