Former beauty queen Imelda Schweighart: “I hate K-pop”
Former beauty queen Imelda Bautista Schweighart caught the attention of most netizens after posting that she hates K-pop (Korean pop). Her post got mixed reactions from online users. The former Miss Earth Philippines 2016 also said that Filipinos are losing their identity trying to be Koreans.
In another post, Schweighart also compared the English proficiency of Filipinos to Koreans.
“Di hamak na mas magaling mag english mga pinoy kesa koreans. Kala ko ba Chinese nananakop? I think we’re getting it wrong. Lagi na lang tayo sinasakop”
K-pop fans disagreed with Schweighart observations saying being a K-pop does not make them any less of a Filipino.
