Angel Locsin answers netizen’s ‘doubt’ on her financial assistance initiative for typhoon victims

Actress Angel Locsin clarified some information regarding her financial assistance initiative project for the typhoon Ulysses victims after some netizens expressed their ‘doubts’.

In her Instagram account, Angel announced her ‘Typhoon Ulysses Assistance Initiative’ project. Angel also shared the instructions on how the typhoon victims are going to avail the Php1,000 assistance. Angel wrote:

Because our fellow Filipinos are still rebuilding after the devastation caused by Typhoon Ulysses, we are continuing our assistance initiative after our first one with Typhoon Rolly.

Sa aming maliit na paraan, nais po naming makapag-abot tulong sa mga kababayan nating matinding naapektuhan ng bagyong Ulysses through Paymaya. Pwede po itong madownload sa https://ift.tt/33fWGbx kung wala pa po kayong account.

Though we would like to reach out to everyone who are in need, our resources are limited and can only accommodate the first 1,000 accepted requests. Each request will receive Php1,000 thru your Paymaya account. We will accept requests from November 20-23, 2020.

Netizens expressed their gratitude to Angel for always extending her help to those who are in need especially in times of calamities. However some netizens expressed their concern about her project.

One netizen commented “di naman sa pagiging nega..concern lang din na sana yung mga tao talaga deserve tulungan ang mabigyan. Paano verification nyo na sa kanya talaga ang bahay na pinapakita sa video? Pwede kasi bigay ng tao real fullname at paymaya details nila pero di naman pala sa kanila yung bahay o area na kinunan video or pwede din may isang grupo mangolekta at kunan videos parang interview pero since sabi nyo pwede paymaya details paano nyo masiguro na yung tao asa video nga mabibigyan ng assistance???”

To which Angel answered “kaya po kailangan magpakilala po sa video yung sender. Makikita naman po pag fake. Sa panahon ngayon na may pandemya pa, hangarin lang namin makapagabot ng mabilisang tulong na hindi na po mahihirapan at makikipagsiksikan ang mga tao. Malayo man, maaabot pa rin. Salamat po”

Angel added “hindi po pwedeng mangolekta ng video bilang one facebook account na legit po per request 🙂 nagawa na po namin ito nung Rolly :)”
