Celebrities react to Rep. Mikey Arroyo’s suggestion to postpone 2022 election

Celebrities reacted to a suggestion made by Pampanga Representative Mikey Arroyo asking the Commission on Election (COMELEC) to consider postponing the 2022 election due to that ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Rep. Arroyo said people will be scared to vote due to the pandemic.

Celebrities like Nikki Valdez, Kian Cipriano, Jason Abalos, and Gretchen Ho gave their opinion regarding the said suggetion.

Kian Cipriano: “NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT IS OUR RIGHT TO VOTE!! Why not try to just focus on finding solutions to get us out of this pandemic instead of postponing the 2022 elections. Because every Filipino deserves good leadership.
It’s been 7 months! C’mon!”

Gretchen Ho: “Sinong takot? Not me. #RegisterNow #Halalan2022”

Nikki Valdez: “Nope. Di nga natakot magpapicture sa pekeng white sand nung nagbukas eh. Bumoto pa kaya?! Kalokohan.”

Jason Abalos: “Cancel daw 2022 election dahil pandemya, sa pampangga nag mula. Cancel nyo nga yang nakaupo na yan sarap na sarap sa pwesto.”

Commission on Elections (Comelec) chairman Sheriff Abas said the decision to postpone the election rest in the hands of Congress and the President, and not on the Commission.
