Lea Salonga asks prayers for ABS-CBN employees losing their jobs

After ABS-CBN announced it will begin its retrenchment program, broadway star Leah Salonga asked her followers to say a prayer to all the Kapamilyas who might lose their jobs because of the networks scaling down measures.

Lea appealed to everyone regardless of their stand in the ABS-CBN franchise issue to come together and pray:

“Please say a prayer for the many men and women of ABS-CBN as well as their families, that they weather what might possibly be the biggest challenge of their lives. Mahigpit na yakap, mga Kapamilya. 1/2”

“Whether you were in favor of the shutdown or not is immaterial. Pray for them anyway. To be suddenly out of a job is not something to wish upon another human being, especially in the middle of this seemingly never-ending pandemic. 2/2”
